I think it is the highly scented foliage, Lynn. I sometimes clip and scatter it over plants that the deer or rabbits are munching – the scent keeps them away but is pleasant to human noses 🙂
Another favorite, so humble and neat, and it reminds one of teas and traditions somehow.
