A Christmas Wish

If there was no tree this year, no rows of twinkling lights
No ornaments, no bells to ring, no frosty snowmen bright
I’d miss the cheerful bustle with which the season starts
But no matter where I find myself, I’ll keep Christmas in my heart.

  1. So true, so true. I once lived in a land where Christmas was not celebrated and I had to come to the point of your poem. It didn’t take me long to do so, but most of all, I appreciated the meaning of Christmas so much more. Blessings to you and yours and a very happy new year!

    • Eleanor, I am so sorry that you did once live in that land, but you are so courageous and creative to have overcome that and to have found that inner Christmas. I wish you the very best new year – and I am your biggest fan 🙂

  2. Blessings and more blessings on your Christmas, your new year, and the lovely and mysterious ways you participate in making life glorious with your many gifts! Thank you, Lynn!

  3. The spirit of Christmas in the heart is a thread that runs through all of humanity. Merry Christmas to you and yours! …. PS: I recall your Father Time piece from last year. 🙂
